Summer Lessons

Summer Lesson Outline 2010:

 

Here is the basic summer schedule:

 

No Regular Lessons June 28th through July 31st

July 5th through the 9th Pingree Master Class

July 10th Charlie Hunter Clinic at the Newbury Town Library

July 12th through the 16th Pentucket Master Class (may be canceled due to low enrollment)

July 19th through the 31st University of New Hampshire Summer Youth Music School

The Month of August Regular Lessons will resume.

 

I will have time to do a limited number of lessons during the month of July. If the Pentucket Master Class does not run, I will have an additional week open for lessons (I will know by June 8th the status for this week).

 

If you wish to keep your lesson spot for the fall, I ask that you take a minimum of two lessons during the summer (or pay the equivalent amount). If you do not wish to pay to reserve your time spot, I cannot guarantee it will be open come September. I do not like asking for payment to hold spots, but due to the backlog of students that I have on my waiting list and the demands of everyday life, I need to be able to keep my teaching going in the summer. I will start making the new fall schedule the 3rd week in August, so please check in if you need a new day or different time slot.

 

Lesson Rates

 

30 minutes: $22

45 minutes: $33

60 minutes: $44

 

Cancellation Policy

In my current schedule I teach an average of 70 lessons per week and my waiting list for permanent spots is growing. With the increased demand for lessons, I find it necessary to have cancellation guidelines for my studio to run efficiently. Here are the guidelines:

 

Lessons must be paid for at the beginning of the month.

There are NO CREDITS for missed lessons. If you miss a lesson and do not pay for it, you forfeit your spot.

If you will be absent for an extended period of time, I will only hold a spot if the time is paid for.

A minimum of two-day’s notice is required to be eligible for a makeup lesson.

If you wish to discontinue lessons, please let me know 30-days in advance.

I will always do my best to find a makeup spot, but cannot always guarantee one.

Cancellations due to poor driving conditions will be credited to the following month.

My studio follows the Massachusetts Public School Vacation/Holiday Schedule. In some cases there may be exceptions. I will list these exceptions on the monthy invoices.
